If something impacted you so profoundly, giving you the opportunity to change your life and others, WOULD YOU?
I started diving in 1991 the experience was exhilarating & terrifying at the same time, I had no SCUBA training and I had never thought about diving in my life, but after my first experience I wanted more, more experience and more information someone to help me with the fear of the unknown, yes how can I do this safely & without fear.
I contacted a dive facility and signed up for class. Open Water training was great but I still wanted more, I took the Advanced course, I was taught Boat Diving, Photography, Night Diving and Equipment Techniques. I enjoyed the course but still wanted more but the facility didn't offer any other training.
A few years later I moved to another city, I went looking for the local dive facility, what I found was a shop that could teach me all I ever needed or wanted to know about scuba diving. I was introduced to Tom Henderson owner of ISSDS he is (SSI) Scuba Schools Internationals Instructor Certifier and (ANDI) American Nitrox Divers Internationals Technical Instructor Certifier. I signed up for more classes and before long I was working part time at the shop, a year and a half later I was teaching Open Water and Advanced Open Water classes and working on my technical instructor ratings.
In September 2005 ISSDS closed for business, I was left with an unbelievable passion to teach everyone in the world to scuba dive and no place to teach. At the time I didn't know where to turn, then it hit me
"I will open a full service dive shop in my home town Murray, Kentucky. AWSOME! Back home with family and friends, living in small tight knit community founded on high morals and family first ethics". I questioned my self, The industry suggests 150,000 people within a 50 mile radius is required to support a full service scuba shop, is my passion to teach scuba diving overshadowing the possibilities that a community of 16,000 people can support this type of business? "Of course it can Western Kentucky has over 150,000 people within a 50 mile radius and scuba diving is founded on Safety, Discipline and family fun"!
!!!Update!!!
October 1st 2007 No Limits Scuba Diving has successfully completed our first year in business. We have certified 47 Open Water Students, 24 Advanced Open Water Students, 38 SafeAir Students, 2 Technical SafeAir Students, 1 Trimix Student and 1 Instructor. Over the past year we have made a lot of new friends in diving and hope to make many more. The shop has seen our inventory triple thanks to the dedicated local divers supporting the facility. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank all the people that helped in making No Limits Scuba Diving a success over the past year!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for supporting you local Dive Shop!

Michael Richardson, Assitant Instructor

I had a desire to scuba dive ever since I saw Sea Hunt for the first time. I received my trainging and certification in Louisville, Ky in 1977. I still remember the first time I went to the bottom of the pool and watched my bubbles rise to the surface. I still get excited everytime I get into the water. Since that time I have become an advanced diver and an assitant instructor.
This is one of three of my occupations. I am the founding pastor of Harvest Land Minsitries International in Murray as well as an Occupational Therapist. I have a grest desire to teach people and see their faces light up when they learn and experience new things.
